Coconut Coffee Hội An
Description
Coconut coffee served inside an actual coconut shell – it’s the kind of gimmick that turns out to be good. The cold coconut coffee has real coconut pulp in it, the salt coffee is the best version you’ll find in Hoi An (strong claim, accurate claim), and they’ll adjust the sweetness without making you feel difficult for asking.
The food pulls its weight too. The banh mi has that proper crispy-chewy contrast, and the fried rice – slightly charred, salty, served with chili – is the kind of simple thing done right that you keep thinking about. They throw in complimentary Vietnamese tea and coconut biscuits, which is a nice touch that doesn’t feel calculated.
This is a family-run spot with warm service, not the performed-friendliness kind. The outdoor seating is relaxed enough to lose a couple of hours in. Pricing is fair given the location.
Highlights
- Salt coffee stands out even by local standards
- Food (banh mi, fried rice) matches the drinks rather than being an afterthought
- Family-run service that multiple reviewers independently called warm and attentive
- Freshly pressed juices get less attention than the coffee, so don't come here specifically for those
