Mr Viet Coffee
Description
Mr Viet runs a roadside coffee cart that punches well above its price point. The coconut coffee and salt coffee are the ones to order – both are made fresh in front of you, which is half the appeal when you’re killing time on a Hoi An morning.
Portions are generous for the money, and the man himself will have your order memorised by day two (the Dutch reviewers figured this out first). This is takeaway-first, so don’t expect seating – just grab your cup and go.
If you’re tired of paying cafe prices for average coffee inside the Ancient Town, this is the obvious alternative. The orange juice also does the job when it’s 34 degrees and you’ve walked more than you planned.
