LAGOM
Description
Lagom is a bakery first, cafe second – and the sooner you accept that, the happier you’ll be here. The cakes are the real reason to visit: the chocolate berry cake has sent people back for a second slice the very next day, the cheesecakes come in multiple varieties (all worth trying), and they do special-order sourdough loaves that arrive oven-warm with a proper crust.
The vegan and plant-based options are good, not an afterthought. Smoothie bowls, plant-based spreads, and most of the baked goods skew dairy-free without tasting like it.
The coffee is serviceable when paired with something sweet, but if a flat white is the main event for you, this probably isn’t your spot. Locals eat breakfast here weekly, which is usually a better endorsement than any tourist review.
Highlights
- vegan-friendly with real variety, not token options
- Special-order sourdough bread is excellent
- Matcha latte and coconut coffee land better than the espresso-based drinks
- Food can take a while to arrive
