IVY Coffee-Tea
Description
IVY Coffee-Tea does boba and fruit drinks well enough that people keep coming back despite the attitude. The taro milk tea and brown sugar milk tea with boba are the move here – thick, sweet, and properly made. Mango lassi also gets consistent praise.
Skip the matcha entirely (it tastes like green-colored powder, not the real thing). The drink menu is solid for what it is: a quick cold drink stop in a hot town.
The vibe is transactional at best. Staff have a reputation for being unwelcoming, the terrace may not be available to you, and there’s reportedly a charge to use the toilet (which, fair warning, is not a Hoi An norm).
