Palm Garden Resort Hoi An
Description
Palm Garden sits on An Bang Beach about 5 minutes from the Old Town by Grab – close enough to do dinner in the ancient streets, far enough to actually decompress. The beach is clean and calm, the grounds are heavy with palms and greenery, and the staff reputation here is earned rather than just polished hospitality-speak.
Families get a lot out of this place. There are activities (pickleball, tennis, billiards), a childcare service, and apparently a coconut guy named Mr. Thi who will become your kids’ favourite person in Vietnam. The breakfast spread covers both Asian and European options and gets consistent praise.
One honest caveat: the room soundproofing is weak. Thin walls and balcony doors that let in noise – including what one guest described as high-pitched morning music on a loop – can be a real problem if you’re a light sleeper. Book a room away from the tennis courts if that matters to you.

- Food earns consistent high marks, with both Vietnamese and European dishes landing well
- Strong all-round activity options: pickleball, tennis, billiards, plus childcare service
- Location requires a Grab taxi to reach the Old Town (quick and cheap, but not walkable)
