Art Museum Villa Hoi An
Description
A villa-style hotel sitting about 10-15 minutes on foot from the Old Town, which actually works in its favor – quieter streets, no tourist circus outside your door. River-view rooms are the pick of the bunch, and the better ones are spacious with comfortable beds.
The staff, particularly a host named Hin, get consistently good marks for being helpful and sorting out logistics. Breakfast is available for around 100,000 VND and covers the basics well enough – eggs, fruit, decent coffee.
The building has real aesthetic ambition, and the bones are good. But a few rooms have shown up with mold on walls and bathroom drainage issues, so it’s worth requesting a room away from the reception area and ideally on an upper floor for air circulation. There is no elevator (worth knowing if you’re hauling luggage to the third floor).
