La Luna consistently delivers some of the most technically skilled massages in Hoi An – therapists read pressure preferences well and actually follow through on them, which is rarer than it should be. The intake process is unusually thorough: a paper consultation before you get on the table where you flag problem areas, preferred pressure, and oil scent, and the therapists actually read it.
The 90-minute full body massage is the move. It opens with a ginger, lime and lemongrass foot bath and a honey-ginger drink, and closes with coconut crackers and tea – which sounds fussy but actually lands well. Ashiatsu (barefoot deep-pressure massage) is on the menu if you have chronic tension that a standard massage just politely ignores; ask for Tina specifically. Ask for Chubby for a skilled, attentive session on tired legs or a full body treatment.
The space itself earns the calm it projects: serene on arrival, attentive throughout, and staff who remember you when you walk back in the next day (and several people do). Bookings work via Klook or WhatsApp, and they’ll even sort a car back to Da Nang if you need one.
Consistency is mostly solid, but therapist quality can vary if you don’t book a named therapist – the front desk response to a weaker session is reportedly patchy, and some rooms show wear with dim lighting. Skip it if you’re purely after a cheap, quick, no-frills rubdown – there are faster options on the street for that.
