Description

A tiny vegetarian spot that takes the banh mi seriously. The lotus vegan special at 30k dong is the one to get, and the glass noodle soup has apparently convinced at least one person to book annual flights back to Vietnam (their words, not ours).

The woman running the place is the whole operation – friendly, fast, and she’ll sort you out whether you want a quick sandwich or a proper sit-down bowl of cao lau or pho. Everything comes out hot and fresh, which sounds basic until you’ve had a few lukewarm banh mi from street carts.

Prices are backpacker-friendly without feeling like a compromise. This is genuinely cheap food that people return to every day of a trip, which is the real measure of the place.
