Trình cafe & bistro Hội An
Description
A riverfront cafe on the Hoai River where the vibe does most of the heavy lifting. The outdoor seating catches a good breeze in the evenings, and occasional live performances and small fireworks shows turn up without warning (a bonus, not a guarantee).
Food-wise, the pho and pad thai are solid for a local cafe. Skip the pasta – it comes out swimming in broth and nobody’s happy about it. The mulberry tea gets repeat visitors, and the latte is decent.
English communication is limited here, so point at menus and use Google Translate like a functioning adult. There’s an air-conditioned room inside if the heat gets to you, though the music leans toward loud Trinh Cong Son tracks (which some people love and some people tolerate).
Highlights
- Pho and pad thai are worth ordering
- Friendly, chatty staff
- Occasional live performances and surprise fireworks add to the atmosphere
- Music inside is loud and the playlist skews heavily traditional (Trinh Cong Son on repeat)
- Service can be uneven depending on how busy it gets
