MẸT Hội An
Description
MẸT sits right on the river and does Vietnamese food properly – meaning staff like Moon and Peter will actually walk you through how to eat things, which condiments go where, and why it matters. This is not the place where they hand you a bowl of pho and leave you to figure it out alone.
The menu leans heavily vegetarian without making a big deal about it. The lotus root soup with tofu is the move, and the pho has converted people who thought they’d already had good pho in Vietnam.
Two floors – the upstairs is quieter if you want to hear yourself think. Prices are fair for a riverside spot in the old town, which is saying something given the real estate.
