Summer Beach restaurant & bar
Description
A family-run spot where Suong (the owner) cooks everything fresh and will happily point you toward things to do around town. The seafood noodles and cao lau are the standouts, but the fried tofu with tomato sauce and Vietnamese pancake are worth ordering too. Prices are low enough that you’ll probably order more than you planned.
This is the kind of place where, if your kid gets sick, someone brings you chicken broth and rice without being asked. The food comes out made-to-order, not sitting in trays, which matters more than it sounds in this part of town.
The salted coffee done the traditional way is one of the better versions you’ll find in Hoi An – order it even if you weren’t planning on coffee.

Cons
- Small family operation means it can feel slow during busy periods
- Hard to find much to criticize based on what people say - which is either great or means the review pool is small
