Lasenta Boutique Hotel Hoi An
Description
Lasenta sits in Cam Chau, about a 15-minute walk from the old town, with rice paddies on the doorstep and a rooftop pool that looks out over them. The location is the whole point – water buffalo wandering past, farmers working the fields, and actual quiet at night (mostly). You’re close enough to town to not feel stranded, but far enough to sleep properly.
The cooking class with Chef The is the standout activity here, not just a hotel add-on. They take you to Hoi An market first to buy ingredients, walk you through what you’re looking at, then bring you back to cook. Spa is good and cheaper than most spots in town thanks to the guest discount.
Rooms are large, clean, and well-equipped. Free bikes and a shuttle service to the old town mean you’re not dependent on Grab every time you leave. Staff get mentioned by name in reviews more than almost anywhere else in town, which tells you something.
Highlights
- Cooking class with market visit is a genuine highlight, not an afterthought
- Spacious, clean rooms with comfortable beds
- Staff are consistently warm and helpful (repeat guests are everywhere here)
- Higher floor suites can get street noise in the morning
