Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort
Description
Silk Sense sits on the river south of the old town, which means you get actual quiet, mature gardens, and a two-minute walk to the beach instead of a two-minute fight through tourist traffic. The grounds are kept with an almost obsessive attention – staff are constantly moving through the property tidying, pruning, and generally making the place look like the photos.
The breakfast rotation changes daily (a small thing that matters a lot on a longer stay), and the free shuttle into the old town removes the only real friction of being slightly off-center. Rooms are well-decorated and come with small nightly treats, which is the kind of detail that makes people rebook.
This is a resort that rewards guests who want to actually use a resort – pool, gardens, beach access – rather than one who’ll be out from 7am to midnight every day. If that’s you, the 20-minute shuttle into the Ancient Town is a fair trade.
Highlights
- Breakfast is good and the menu rotates daily, which matters if you're staying more than two nights
- Free shuttle service to the old town makes the out-of-center location a non-issue
- Grounds and rooms are kept immaculately clean with daily housekeeping
- The peaceful, resort-style setting won't suit guests who want to be in the middle of the action
