Lantern Making Class with Lanh
Description
Lanh runs this lantern workshop on Cam Nam, a quiet spot across the river from the Old Town crowds. You build a traditional silk lantern by hand – bamboo frame, silk wrap, tassels and all – not a pre-folded kit you just decorate.
The class runs 1.5 to 2 hours and costs 290,000 VND (about $11), which covers materials, welcome tea and a carry bag for the finished lantern. Kids 6 and up are welcome, and private group bookings are available. Instruction is in English, with Vietnamese available on request.
You leave with your own foldable lantern and a care guide to keep it in one piece once you’re home.
