Palm River Boutique

Palm River sits between the old town and An Bang Beach, which means you get the river breeze off the Thu Bon without the noise of the lantern district keeping you up at night. The air genuinely moves here in a way it does not in the center, and that matters in July. Rooms are large, beds are comfortable, and nothing smells like mildew (lower bar than it sounds in this price range).

The owner – referred to by multiple guests as Pele – runs this place personally and it shows. Breakfast is cooked to order rather than left to die on a buffet table. Free bike loans mean you can reach the old town in about 15 minutes without paying for a taxi every time.

This is not a resort. There is no rooftop pool or lobby theater. What there is: a pool, river views from upper floors, clean bathrooms, cold AC, and staff who actually help you book things rather than handing you a laminated menu of overpriced tours.
