Hoi An Bali Homestay
Description
A family-run homestay sitting just outside the old town, where the main draw is waking up to rice paddy views from rooms 203 and 204 (or the small balcony, which is exactly as good as it sounds with a cold beer). The family who run it are the real reason people come back – they’ll sort out transport, answer questions, and apparently even open up during their own holidays if you’ve bungled your booking dates.
Rooms are kept genuinely clean – cleaned every two days for longer stays – and spacious enough that you won’t feel like you’re living out of your bag. Pricing is fair for what you get, which is more than most places at this level can say.
This works best if you’re staying more than a night or two and want somewhere that feels like a home base rather than a transaction. The old town is easy to reach, so the slightly-out-of-center location costs you nothing in practice.
Highlights
- Rice paddy views from select rooms (203 and 204 in particular) and balconies
- Rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and cleaned regularly
- Excellent value for the quality and space you get
- Pillows are on the thick side if you prefer something flatter (minor, but a few people noticed)
