An Hoi Bridge
Description
An Hoi Bridge connects the Ancient Town side to the An Hoi peninsula, and it earns its reputation almost entirely after dark. When the lanterns light up at dusk, the bridge becomes the best free view in Hoi An – river on both sides, colourful boats below, the old town glowing behind you.
During the day it’s still worth crossing, just for the river views and the people-watching. The bridge itself is decorated well enough that it holds up without the evening light, though you’d be choosing the lesser version.
The surrounding area on the An Hoi side has restaurants and shops, but don’t overthink the shopping – it’s fairly uniform. Cross the bridge, take in the view, then decide where to eat.
