An Hoi Town Homestay
Description
A family-run homestay on the An Hoi peninsula side of the old town, close enough to walk everywhere but just across the footbridge from the thickest tourist crowds. The hosts are the main reason people come back – helpful with transport, tickets, and logistics, often at better prices than you’d find yourself (the private Da Nang airport transfer cheaper than Grab is a real thing).
Rooms are spacious and well-maintained, with the upgraded options offering balconies, big beds, and the basics you actually need. This is a real family home, which means you get warmth and local knowledge you won’t find at a guesthouse – it also means morning noise is part of the deal if you’re a light sleeper.
Scooter rentals are available through the property, though the bike quality has been inconsistent (one guest got a scooter with no working instruments, which is less than ideal on Vietnamese roads). Stick to asking them for transport recommendations and booking help – that’s where they deliver.
Highlights
- Location works well for accessing Old Town restaurants, bars, and shops on foot
- Rooms are spacious, clean, and well-maintained
- Help arranging transport and tickets, often at fair or below-market prices
- Scooter rentals through the property have had reliability problems - at least one bike had non-functional instruments
