Description
A garden restaurant doing serious Vietnamese food – the kind of place where the Cao Lau actually tastes like it should, and the spring rolls will make you annoyed at everywhere else you’ve eaten them. The combo platters are a smart move if you want to try a range of dishes without committing to one thing (and you should try a range).
The setting is pretty, all greenery and open air, which sounds lovely until you realise there’s no breeze. It gets hot. Ask for a fan when you sit down, not after you’ve already started sweating into your Bun Thit Nuong.
Service has some rough edges – wrong dishes, forgotten orders, and apparently a strict policy about table sizes that will confuse you (two people at a four-top is apparently a hard no, even when the place is empty). The staff are generally friendly, so chalk it up to house rules rather than hostility.
