Blue Coral Diving

Blue Coral is a proper dive centre run by Steve and a mostly British/Aussie crew out of Hoi An, doing day trips to Cham Island for both divers and snorkellers. They run PADI courses from Discovery dives up through Advanced Open Water, with small groups and instructors who actually take the time to explain things rather than just rush you through. Safety is taken seriously here, which matters more than it sounds when you’re underwater.

The snorkelling option is worth knowing about – you’re not treated as an afterthought even if everyone else on the boat is diving. A speedboat adds a bit of fun to the transit out, and pickup from your hotel is apparently punctual to the minute (a low bar that many operators in this region clear only occasionally).

Check operating dates before you show up, as seasonal closures apply and the online listings have caused confusion in the past. When the centre is open and running, the crew delivers a solid, well-organised day on the water.
