Blue Lotus is a leather workshop run by Thao and Canh, and the thing that keeps coming up in every account is how patient they are – not performatively patient, actually patient, across sessions that regularly run four to six hours. You pick a project (wallet, passport cover, notebook cover, card holder, custom knife pouch), they cut a pattern, and then you do most of the work yourself with guidance at each step.

The projects are genuinely useful objects, not trinkets. Cutting, stitching, and gluing are all part of the process, so you leave understanding how the thing was made rather than just watching someone else make it.
