Buttercup by Rosie’s Cafe
Description
Buttercup sits in a quiet alley off the old town bustle, inside an old house that actually earns the word charming. It’s the Hoi An outpost of Rosie’s, and the all-day breakfast menu is the main event – salmon bagels with real portion sizes, smoothie bowls you can customise, sourdough that reviewers specifically call out, and a carrot cake that apparently breaks people’s brains.
The salted coffee is solid (if you haven’t had Vietnamese salted coffee yet, fix that immediately), and the juices are decent without being extraordinary. Food and drinks come out fast, staff are friendly, and the menu handles vegetarians and customisation requests without drama.
Close at 3pm sharp, and cash only – two facts that have personally annoyed people who didn’t know. Sort out your dong before you sit down.
