Description

Cham Chi Club sits right on the river out near Cua Dai beach, which makes it the obvious stop after a day in the sand when you need a cold drink and somewhere to decompress. The setup is eclectic – pool table, upcycled clothing, murals tucked into corners, and a riverside gym where Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes sometimes happen mid-visit (yes, really).

The vibe is more creative hangout than polished bar. Dogs wander around, live music shows up, and the whole place seems to operate on its own relaxed schedule. It suits people who are happy to arrive with no plan and see what’s happening.

Note that the place has gone through at least one closure for refurbishment, so worth checking they’re open before making the trip out from the old town.

Highlights

Insider Tip
Time your visit for late afternoon to catch the sunset on the river and, if you're lucky, overlap with one of the riverside BJJ classes - it's a strange and entertaining backdrop for a beer.
Pros
- Riverside setting is good, especially for watching the sunset
- Unusually layered space - pool table, murals, upcycled clothing, and a martial arts gym all coexist
- Crowd and staff are consistently described as friendly and welcoming
- Convenient if you're spending time at Cua Dai beach
Cons
- Drink quality is inconsistent - at least one reviewer got something that tasted like flavored water
- Has been closed for refurbishment at least once, so confirm before visiting
