Coconut Beach is a small, unassuming spot right on the sand, a world away from the crowds at Anbang and the main Hoi An beaches. It suits anyone after a quiet day out, solo travelers included, with sunbeds you can dig your feet into the sand from and a peaceful stretch of shore mostly free of tour groups. Fishermen still bring their coconut boats in nearby, which adds some local color to an otherwise calm scene.
Sunbeds run from 30k to 60k depending on the day, and using them is free if you order food or drinks. The menu is bigger than you’d expect from a beach shack, with fresh coconuts, smoothies (the Pinky Smoothie is a favorite), juices, and cocktails like a strong Pina Colada. Spring rolls are a good call for food. The bar closes at sunset, and the owner sometimes shuts down entirely on stormy days, so it’s worth checking ahead if the weather looks rough.
This isn’t the place for an elaborate meal – some dishes come out frozen and underwhelming, so keep food orders simple and lean on the drinks menu instead.
