Fika Cafe and Bookstore
Description
A bookstore cafe tucked down a side alley near the old town, which means you get shade, quiet, and a reason to linger without feeling like you’re blocking foot traffic on Tran Phu. The food leans Western brunch – avocado toast, hummus toast, granola bowls – done well enough that people actually order it instead of just the drinks.
The coffee program is the real draw. Salted cream coffee and iced coconut coffee are both worth ordering, and the kombucha with real ginger pieces is the kind of thing you’ll think about later. Homemade chocolate cake is not too sweet, which in Vietnam is practically a selling point.
Pricing sits slightly above the local average (110,000 VND for a granola bowl will catch your eye), but you’re paying for the atmosphere and the AC-adjacent fan situation as much as the food. Good place to disappear into for a few hours with a book you didn’t bring.

- Alley location keeps it cool, quiet, and away from street crowds
- Staff described as friendly and quick across multiple reviews
- No strong cons emerging from reviews, but it's not the place for a full cooked breakfast
