Description

A no-frills strength gym that does exactly what it says on the tin: dumbbells up to 25kg, kettlebells, two squat racks with barbells, a bench, resistance bands, and a heavy bag. No cardio machines, no weight stack machines, no nonsense. If your holiday workout is a circuit or a lift, this covers it.

The space is small, often empty, and kept cool by big ceiling fans (essential when you’re sweating through a Vietnamese summer). Pricing is hard to argue with – 60,000 VND for a day pass, 150,000 for three days, 220,000 for five.

Equipment condition gets mixed reports: some find it perfectly functional, others note rust and dust. Go in with appropriate expectations and you’ll leave happy. The guy at the front is friendly and will sort you out with the Bluetooth speaker (karaoke mode optional).

Highlights

Insider Tip
Show up closer to 7:30am rather than 7:00am - the owner isn't always there on the dot, and waiting outside in the heat is a bad way to start a workout.
Pros
- Incredibly cheap even by Hoi An standards - 60,000 VND per day
- Almost always empty, so you have the space to yourself
- Good airflow from ceiling fans keeps it bearable in the heat
- Solid free weights setup: dumbbells, kettlebells, barbells, squat racks, resistance bands
Cons
'- Some equipment is old and showing rust - don't expect a polished facility
- No cardio machines and only large 20kg barbells (awkward for isolation exercises like curls)
- Opening hours can be loose - you may need to track someone down to unlock it
