Hải Hồ
Description
Hải Hồ is a small family restaurant out near Cua Dai Beach, run by two sisters, sitting next to the Wyndham Garden Hotel. It also doubles as a convenience store and laundry drop-off, which sounds chaotic but somehow works perfectly. The food is cooked fresh to order, so expect a short wait – that’s non-negotiable and completely worth it.
The fresh spring rolls with shrimp and the mango salad are the things to order here. Don’t overthink it, don’t skip them. The wonton soup also gets consistent praise if you want something warm.
This is the kind of place where the staff remembers you on your second visit and brings out free cake on New Year’s Eve. If you’re staying near Cua Dai, this is your local restaurant now. If you’re in the Ancient Town, it’s still worth the trip.
Highlights
- warm, attentive service from the family who runs it - not a performance, just how they operate
- Strong value for money, with multiple reviewers noting fair prices
- Small and personal enough that staff actually care whether you enjoyed your meal
- Food is cooked fresh per order, so if you're in a rush, this isn't your spot
