Hoi An Roastery Espresso & Coffee House I
Description
A proper stop for Vietnamese coffee in the old town, with good Ca Phe Sua Da and an iced salted coffee that earns its reputation. The space works on two levels – indoor seating with AC-free but breezy atmosphere, and outdoor chairs for watching the foot traffic crawl past on a hot afternoon.
The banana cake gets mentioned unprompted by enough people that you should order a slice. Van on staff is specifically called out by name for being a good host, which in a tourist-heavy area like this is worth noting.
You can buy beans to take home, which saves you from panic-buying overpriced vacuum packs at the airport. The coffee-bean mosaic floor is a nice touch (the designer clearly had opinions and enough time to see them through).
