Hoi An Specialty Restaurant
Description
A straightforward Vietnamese spot near the old town that does the classics well – banh xeo (Vietnamese pancake with pork gets specific praise), pepper chicken, and solid noodle dishes. The lady running the place is the whole operation: she sorts your order, fixes mix-ups without drama, and keeps the place spotlessly clean.
The menu is wider than it needs to be (yes, they have pizza, no, you should not order it). Stick to the Vietnamese dishes and you’ll eat well. Set meals require four people minimum, so solo diners and couples order à la carte.
