A proper five-star hotel sitting just outside the Old Quarter, close enough to walk to the lantern-lit streets but far enough that you have a reason to come back and use the pool. Two buildings – one colonial, one modern – and two pool areas including a rooftop sky deck that makes the sunset drink worth ordering (even if the bar prices will sting a little).
The rooms are well-finished and the staff reputation here is consistent across every review – they seem to actually mean it when they say nothing is too much trouble. If you’re doing a Luxury Escapes package with meals and massages included, this is the kind of place where that deal makes real sense.
One honest caveat: soundproofing is a recurring complaint, so if you’re a light sleeper, ask specifically for a quieter room when you book rather than hoping for the best.
