Deme World is an indoor-outdoor playground near the old town that earns its keep on a rainy Hoi An afternoon. The covered main area means humidity and downpours are someone else’s problem, and the setup spans multiple zones across two floors – sandpit and outdoor equipment downstairs, air-conditioned play areas upstairs. Entry is 50,000 VND per child including one adult, which is about the cost of a banh mi and a coffee elsewhere.
The equipment is clean, well-maintained, and varied enough that kids can bounce between zones for a couple of hours without looping back. Staff are attentive without being intrusive, which matters when you actually want to sit down for five minutes. (There is a separate cafe area with snacks, so yes, you can get a coffee.)
One honest note: the children’s music is loud. Not ‘background noise’ loud – properly loud. Bring patience or earbuds for the adults in the group.
