A family-run hotel sitting right next to the Night Market, which means you’re in the thick of it without actually being on a noise-soaked street. The family who runs this place is attentive – the hostess speaks excellent English and has been known to escort confused guests through evening crowds on her electric scooter.
Rooms are clean, well-kept, and some have balconies worth requesting specifically. No elevator, but the stairs are solid and wide (not the rickety afterthoughts you’ll find elsewhere). Breakfast gets good marks and the value here is hard to argue with.
This suits people who want to walk to everything in the Ancient Town without lying awake listening to it all night. The river lantern boats at 6pm are visible from nearby – a nice accidental bonus.
