Mr. Quynh’s shop is the one people walk past, stop, and then come back to. The butterfly lanterns have a way of staying in your head. Everything here is handmade and hand-painted, and the prices are honest enough that you won’t feel like you need to negotiate yourself into a bad mood.

The family runs this place as a proper operation, not a tourist trap. Kids from visiting families have ended up playing with Mr. Quynh’s granddaughter while parents browse, which tells you something about the atmosphere. The shop also carries souvenirs and small toys alongside the lanterns.

It sits just opposite Madam Lau restaurant, so it’s easy to find once you know that landmark. They’ll stay open a little past closing if you show up with genuine interest (don’t abuse this).
