Order the bun thit nuong, white rose dumplings, fried rice served in a pineapple, or the hotpot with its fresh ingredients and flavorful broth. Fried spring rolls run about 110,000 VND, steamed clams with pineapple about 120,000 VND, coconut juice 80,000 VND, and Sprite 40,000 VND. Ask for a second-floor table if you want the river view, and note that paying by credit card adds a 5% surcharge on top of tax.
Service swings hard from table to table: some staff bring fans on a hot day and check in constantly, others ignore raised hands for long stretches, so don’t be shy about flagging someone down more than once. The signature cocktails are weak and forgettable, so stick to coconut juice or beer. Go for the location and the food rather than the drinks list, and skip it if you’re chasing the cheapest bowl of pho in town, since plenty of spots inland do it for less.
