Mia Coffee
Description
Mia Coffee is worth visiting for one thing above all else: the salt coffee. Reviewers who’ve traveled the length of Vietnam rate it the best they’ve had, and that’s not nothing. The egg nog coffee also has a following.
They pull actual espresso shots here, which already puts them ahead of half the cafes in the old town (where ‘coffee’ sometimes means Nescafe with theatrical presentation). Prices are slightly higher than the street-level competition, and that’s an acceptable trade if you care about the cup.
Food is the weak point. Stick to coffee and cake – the carrot cake gets specific praise and the pancakes are decent when the kitchen is actually serving them (which can be unpredictable before 8am).
