Miên’s Tailor
Description
Miên’s has carved out a specific niche in Hoi An’s tailor-saturated streets: pre-washed linen, done properly. The fabric is softer than what you’ll find at most shops, the stitching holds up after washing (they’ll tell you this themselves, and reviewers confirm it years later), and the color selection is good.
The staff – Tiên and Hue get name-dropped constantly – are patient with indecisive customers and clear about the process. Complicated pieces like structured shirts come out right, not just the easy stuff like shorts and trousers. Prices run a bit higher than the Old Town average, and that’s fair.
If you’re only in town for a day or two, they can turn things around fast. If you have more time, use it – come on day one, get a fitting the next day, and leave with something worth keeping for three years.
Highlights
- Staff are patient with changes and indecision during fittings
- Fast turnaround when needed - same-day completion is possible
- Clothes hold their shape and don't shrink after washing
- Popular enough that you'll want to build in time for adjustments rather than cutting it close to departure
