Nam An Mama Villa sits about 10 minutes by bike from the Old Town and 20 minutes from the beach – far enough to actually sleep at night, close enough to not feel stranded. The rooftop pool is a genuine surprise for a place at this price point, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and well put-together without trying too hard.
Breakfast is a real highlight here. You order the night before from a menu of Vietnamese specialties, which means it arrives properly made rather than buffet-sad. Free bicycles are included, which is the correct way to get around Hoi An anyway.
The staff – particularly Muoi – are consistently called out by guests as helpful rather than performatively so. Ground floor rooms get some street noise, so request an upper floor when you book.
