Nón Restaurant
Description
Nón sits near An Bang Beach and runs as a proper family operation – Chin handles the front of house with enough English to actually help you navigate the menu and point you toward the local market down the road. The food leans into central Vietnamese classics done right: cau lau, fresh rolls, duck spring rolls, and grilled eggplant that people come back for specifically.
The menu is large (bring patience or just ask Chin what came in fresh). Standouts keep showing up in what people order more than once – the clams in butter and garlic, oysters with peanut and onion, and the chili lemongrass duck with white rice. Prices are low enough that ordering too much is a reasonable strategy.
The passion fruit mojito gets called out enough that it’s worth ordering without thinking about it.

- Prices are low relative to the quality, especially for An Bang
- Cau lau, fresh rolls, and duck dishes are good across multiple visits
- Located near the beach tourism strip, so foot traffic can make it busier than it looks from outside
