Old Town Tailors
Description
Huyen, Tram, and Hailie run a tight operation on the tailoring circuit. The turnaround is fast – 48 to 72 hours for custom pieces – and they handle everything from Vietnamese silk dresses with intricate lacing to linen basics and full suit orders without breaking a sweat.
They’re good at reading a photo and translating it into something wearable, which is not a given in this town. English communication is solid, fabric selection is decent, and they work across body types without making it awkward (a lower bar than you’d think).
Quality is mostly strong but not bulletproof – a few reviewers flagged loose threads or small fit issues that needed fixing. Go in with clear references, confirm every detail out loud, and check the finished piece thoroughly before you leave.
Highlights
- Staff communicate well in English and take direction from photos
- Finishing quality on most garments is good - linings, hems, and details done properly
- Handle a wide range of garments, from silk dresses to suits and trousers
- At least one order had buttons fall off and loose threads on a $75 piece, so quality control isn't perfectly consistent
