ROM Vegetarian Bistro
Description
ROM is a small vegetarian spot near the market that locals return to repeatedly and tourists put at the top of their Hoi An list. The mushroom and tofu stew is the thing to order, and the portions are large enough that first-timers consistently over-order (a good problem to have). Prices are low enough that coming back two or three times in a single trip makes complete sense.

Insider Tip
Order the mushroom and tofu stew, then stop - the portions are bigger than they look on the menu and you will run out of stomach before you run out of dishes.
Pros
'- Portions are genuinely large - multiple reviewers regretted ordering too many dishes
- Price point is hard to beat for the quality and quantity you get
- Staff are attentive and go out of their way (one brought a fan outside for a hot guest)
- Repeat visitors, both local and foreign, keep coming back year after year

Cons
- It gets busy and tables are limited - arriving early or being ready to wait is just part of the deal
- A couple of Vietnamese reviewers note consistency can slip, with some dishes coming out oily or slow on busier days
