Sen Tailor Hoi An
Description
Sen Tailor is one of the calmer options in a town where every tailor shop seems to be competing for loudest. The space is organized and the staff – particularly Anna and Anh – actually listen instead of just steering you toward whatever fabric they want to move. That no-pressure approach is real, not performative (a few reviewers left to check competitors and came back without any drama).
They’re solid on suits and dresses, with a fabric selection that leans toward quality rather than quantity. The staff will sketch out your ideas and advise on fabrics, which matters more than it sounds when you’re trying to communicate a specific look in a second language.
Fit consistency is the one honest caveat. Most customers leave happy, but a small number have reported pieces that didn’t come together as expected. Build in time for at least two fittings if your order is complex.
Highlights
- Staff take time to explain fabrics, sketch ideas, and guide you through decisions
- Repeat customers exist (and that's a decent endorsement in a tourist-heavy market)
- Friendly, patient service that works well for people new to custom tailoring
- At least one report of attitude shifting after deposit payment, and post-sale service on alterations may be limited
