Sweet Memories Villa
Description
A newish villa sitting about two minutes on foot from the Ancient Town entrance, which is close enough that you can be back from the night market before your ice melts. The staff consistently go out of their way – early check-in with tea, taxi coordination from Da Nang, local tips on where to eat and shop. That kind of attentiveness is the main reason people like it here.
Private rooms are the move. They’re compact (around 18 square meters) but well-fitted, with proper beds, AC, and clean bathrooms. Breakfast is included and gives you a few real options – omelette, egg rice, banana pancake, coffee or tea – nothing elaborate, but enough to start the day without hunting for a cafe. There’s also an elevator, which matters more than you’d think when you’re dragging luggage up after a long travel day.
The dorm situation is a different story. At least one guest reported bedbugs, and the front desk response to that complaint was not reassuring. The shared room beds have also drawn complaints about being uncomfortably thin. If you’re on a tight budget and considering the dorm, factor that in.
