The Fisherman Garden Vegan Restaurant & Cafe
Description
A fully vegan cafe a short walk from An Bang Beach, with a sprawling menu that covers everything from burritos and pancakes to hummus and banana fritters. The garden seating is the draw – shaded, green, and relaxed enough that you’ll stay longer than you planned. (There are also dogs, which is either a pro or a con depending on your stance.)
The menu leans heavily Western with some local options mixed in, and the smoothies and coconut ice cream get consistent praise. Non-vegans come here too and leave satisfied, which says something about the cooking.
Service pace can be slow and the kitchen sends dishes out separately, so don’t come starving with a tight schedule. Order the bowl over the burrito – the seasoning on the latter needs work.
Highlights
- Big menu with solid variety for both local and western tastes
- Smoothies, juices, and coconut ice cream are a highlight
- Works well for non-vegans too - not preachy, just good food
- Some dishes (notably the burrito) are underseasoned and underwhelming
