The Interlude
Description
The Interlude sits between Hoi An’s old town and the beach, right next to Tra Que vegetable village – which means you get quiet fields on one side and a short bike ride to the ancient town on the other. Bikes are available to borrow, which is exactly how you should be getting around here anyway. The location alone justifies a look, but it’s not why people extend their stays.
The real draw is the art studio – a large, open space with natural light and a pond nearby. You can book structured week-long programs that mix workshops with local excursions, or just stay in one of the villa rooms (each designed differently) and use the grounds to decompress. Plenty of guests skip the art programming entirely and leave happy.
Tina, Vinh, and Julie run the place and show up in basically every review – not in a hovering way, but in a ‘they gave us the best local recommendations’ way. The food gets consistent praise too. This is the kind of small property where the people running it make or break the experience, and here they make it.

- Food quality gets strong mentions across multiple reviews
- Small boutique property, so availability is limited and last-minute bookings may not work out
