Ty’s is the kind of banh mi spot that earns repeat visits without trying too hard. The bread comes out warm, everything is made fresh, and at 20,000-30,000 VND a sandwich, you can eat here twice a day without guilt (some people apparently do exactly that).
The egg banh mi is the sleeper hit, but the chicken holds its own. Herbs are generous, flavors are balanced, and the family running it are lovely rather than performatively so.
Show up earlier rather than later. They sell out, and a sold-out banh mi stand is nobody’s idea of dinner.
