Vietnam Backpacker Hostels
Description
Vietnam Backpacker Hostels punches above its weight in Hoi An’s hostel scene, mostly because of that pool – the view from it is good, and on a hot afternoon that matters more than almost anything else. The atmosphere skews social and lively, which is either the main selling point or a reason to look elsewhere, depending on what you need from a bed.
Rooms are solid for the price: decent space, friendly staff who actually help, and a location close enough to restaurants and cafes that you won’t be hunting for food. The bathroom situation gets mixed marks for cleanliness, so lighter travelers should calibrate expectations.
Breakfast is included but small – fine if you’re the type who just wants coffee before heading out, less fine if you need a real meal to function. Weekdays are noticeably quieter if you want the pool without the crowd.
Highlights
- Friendly and helpful staff across multiple reviews
- Central location, close to restaurants and cafes
- Lively atmosphere for social travelers
- Breakfast portions are small
- Rooms lack curtains (apparently standard across Hoi An hostels, but still)
