Vintage Taste Deli Cafe Hoi An
Description
Sitting directly across from the Confucius Temple, Vintage Taste is a deli cafe tucked inside a hotel that somehow feels more like a quiet living room than a lobby afterthought. The vintage decor is deliberate and works – think slow mornings, good light, no pressure to leave.
The coffee is the main event here. Strong, well-sourced, and made with actual care (the matcha latte also gets surprisingly high marks from people who usually find matcha too bitter). Pair it with a croissant or the coconut cake and you have a proper breakfast.
The menu covers Vietnamese coffee, teas, and baked goods without trying to be everything to everyone. Staff are helpful with the menu, which matters when you’re somewhere new and haven’t had your first coffee yet.
Highlights
- Staff are friendly and willing to walk you through the menu
- Calm, relaxed atmosphere that doesn't rush you out
- Baked goods (croissant, coconut cake) are worth ordering alongside your drink
- Menu is relatively compact, so if you want a full meal you may need to look elsewhere
