Zen Asoka Yoga
Description
Master Asoka runs a tight, serious Ashtanga practice out of a small studio in the old town, paired with a vegan café if you want to wind down afterward. He adjusts, he cues well, and he throws in a head massage during savasana (which sounds like a small thing until it happens to you). The studio also covers Vinyasa, Yin, and meditation, so it’s not a one-trick spot.
This is not a drop-in tourist mill. The classes stay small, Asoka actually pays attention to each person, and reviewers consistently use words like ‘calm’ and ‘professional’ rather than ‘fun and energetic’ – worth knowing before you book. One couple rescheduled their entire next day to fit in a second class, which tells you most of what you need to know.
Communication is easy, they’re flexible during holidays, and they’ve handled a three-year-old in class without drama. The vegan café makes the whole thing feel less transactional than most studio setups in town.
