Bắp’s House runs private and small-group cooking classes out of a family-run setup in Hoi An. Dung (also known as Bắp) teaches you three traditional dishes plus a dessert, walks you through the techniques properly, and the driver picks you up from your hotel so you’re not wandering around trying to find the place (which, based on reviews, you would otherwise struggle to do).
The class books easily over WhatsApp, sometimes on the same day, which makes it a good option if you’ve left planning to the last minute. Vegetarian and vegan substitutions are available if you ask ahead.
The restaurant side serves simple local food at prices well below the tourist-zone average. Cash only, but Dung has reportedly given guests a ride to the ATM on his motorbike, which tells you something about how this place operates.
