Cỏ Hồng Restaurant
Description
Cỏ Hồng is a family-run spot where husband-and-wife team Vu and Hong cook the kind of Vietnamese food that makes you question every restaurant decision you made earlier in your trip. The seafood is the main event – grilled prawns, fried snapper, scallops with scallion oil – and they’ll steer you toward whatever came in freshest that day (and away from what didn’t, which is a level of honesty you don’t always get).
Beyond the seafood, the banh xeo, morning glory with garlic, cassava fish soup, and lemongrass chili tofu all have fans in the review section. Portions are generous and the bill tends to cause a small moment of disbelief.
It sits outside the old town core, so factor in a short taxi or bike ride. Worth it.
